Today I’m going over the “Top 10 Foods to Lose Belly Fat.” These are foods that can actually help you burn off that stubborn fat around your mid-section. Ready to whip those abs into shape for summer?
Olive oil contains mono-unsaturated fat, which keeps your cholesterol in check and will keep cravings at bay. I love using olive oil in my salad with some fresh lemon juice instead of using dressings that are high in sodium, which leads to bloating.
LEAN MEATS AND FISH
Lean meats and fish are high in Omega 3. This helps to fight off stress hormones that can lead to retention of belly fat. Omega 3 is also an important component of heart health.
Berries have a lot of fiber which fills you up with fewer calories and also aids the digestive system. If you have a sweet tooth, berries are a great choice for dessert when dining out.
Nuts keep your stomach full! Your best choices are almonds, cashews, and pistachios–They have the lowest calories and least amount of saturated fat. Keep a bag of nuts in your bag for a great “on-the-go” snack.
PROTEIN POWDER WITH AMINO ACID

Tomatoes contain Vitamin A and Vitamin C. These vitamins work as antioxidants to neutralize harmful free radicals in the blood. Free radicals in the bloodstream are dangerous because they may lead to cell damage. Tomatoes also boost your immune system giving you the energy you need to train efficiently.
Eggs are an excellent choice for breakfast because they have vitamin B12 which is necessary to metabolize fat. Eggs are also high in protein. Contrary to popular belief, don’t skip the yolk, that’s the most nutritious part.
Milk contains calcium that breaks down fat and prevents fat from forming. A popular source of dairy is Greek Yogurt which contains less than half the fat of whole milk, but the same fat-burning benefits.
Oatmeal is one of my personal favorites for breakfast! Oatmeal helps maintain sugar levels and reduces cholesterol. It also keeps me full until mid-day and aid digestion.
Apples are another easy on-the-go snack packed with nutrients and vitamin C. Apples help aid digestion and fill you up. Sometimes I put a small scoop of almond butter on my apple slices for the good type of fat my body needs and they taste delicious that way too.
