If you are looking for a quick workout you can fit into your day here is my 5 minute jump rope workout. Do each exercise for 30 seconds

REGULAR JUMPS

Start out by warming up with some simple jumps.

SIDE TO SIDE

Point toes up and out, rock your body side to side as you jump.

OPEN CLOSE

This is just a simple open and close of your feet as you jump. Coordination is key, and that is one of the things I love about jump rope!

SWITCH FEET

Switch your feet from front to back as you jump.

RUNNING MAN

This is like doing mini lunges as you jump. Keep a nice wide stance!

SKIER

Move both feet together from side to side. This exercise is amazing for your abs.

7. Twists – Another great one for your abs! Activate your waist throughout this and speed it up if you can.

HEEL TAPS

Think of a string pulling your head all the way to the ceiling to keep your posture nice and strong. Gently tapping one heel on the floor in front of you, do one side for 15 seconds and then switch.

CROSSES

This one is a little bit more complicated just to suffer jumps if you haven’t got it yet but you will get it eventually. This exercise is so great for your shoulders and your arms!
